CAPJ is a group working very hard in Jersey trying to keep children safe from having a nasty accident. We strongly believe that children should not be wrapped up in cotton wool but need to have fun, explore and learn how to manage their own risk.

Cot safety and cot bumpers - Jan '12 New US guidelines support the NHS and the Royal College of General Practitioners recommendation of not using cot bumpers. Also dropside cots have just been banned in America after a study looking at 32 deaths since 2000 related to the dropsides. |
